A WordPress plugin that creates an administrator-only custom post type for private wiki-style documentation, paired with a modern jQuery-free bookmarklet for capturing content from any webpage.

What It Does

Zsoogi Clipper gives you a private space inside WordPress to collect and organize research. Install the bookmarklet in your browser, then click it on any page to instantly clip the URL, title, selected text, and images into a new draft post — visible only to administrators.

Installation

  1. Download the latest release from the GitHub repository.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Zsoogi Clips → Grab Zsoogi.
  3. Drag the bookmarklet button to your browser bookmarks bar.
  4. Visit any webpage, click the bookmarklet, and your clip opens ready to save.

Coming Soon: Zsoogi Clipper Pro

A Pro edition is in development. It keeps everything in the free plugin and adds:

  • Flexible access control — open clips beyond administrators by setting a minimum role (editor, author, contributor or subscriber), or share an individual clip with named users regardless of their role. Custom roles are slotted automatically by capability, and logged-out visitors are still never allowed.
  • AI agent access — your clip library is registered with the WordPress Abilities API, so any MCP-connected agent can create, search, update, and export clips in plain language
  • YouTube transcript capture — full transcripts stored alongside the clip, searchable, with clickable timestamps
  • Advanced citation formats — detailed and academic styles beyond the free simple format
  • Custom branding — rename "Zsoogi Clips" to your own terminology throughout the WordPress admin
  • Priority support — direct email access to the development team
